Triglyceride (TAG) is an ester derived from glycerol and three fatty acid molecules. It is not only the main component of cell membranes, but also an important respiratory substrate. In addition, elevated levels of human TAGs have been shown to be related to a variety of diseases, including atherosclerosis, heart disease, stroke, and metabolic syndrome.

Service Workflow

HPLC is used to measure the content of various components in a sample. The liquid medium flows through the pipeline of the HPLC. After adding a sample to the instrument, the components of the sample are separated in the chromatographic column, and then the detector measures the content of each component.

LC methods, including capillary integral chromatography and ultra-high performance liquid chromatography, combined with mass spectrometry, can be ionized by electrospray ionization (ESI), atmospheric pressure chemical ionization (APCI) or atmospheric pressure photoionization (APPI).
